National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) is celebrating its 18th year with the theme “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart”. This theme was picked to help both individuals and organizations feel empowered in their role to protect their own cyberspace and data.
Throughout the month, the National Cybersecurity Alliance and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency will raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity training and provide information and tools needed to be “safer and more secure online”.

Phishing has spiked rapidly since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Be wary of suspicious emails, text messages, and chat boxes from strangers. Think before you click any strange links and report incidents to your IT team.
Week of October 18 (Week 3): Explore. Experience. Share
This week focuses on careers in cybersecurity led by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE).
Week of October 25 (Week 4): Cybersecurity First
Week 4 is all about putting cybersecurity at the forefront of your business. Train your employees, make processes, protect your data. Remember, best practices are continuously changing, make sure you’re up to date on new information and relay it to your employees.
